visual novels

  1. murder by numbers- a murder mystery detective visual novel where you have to solve picross puzzles to be a good detective. and you have a cute little robot companion!!
  2. in other waters- you’re a scientist exploring the oceans and lifeforms of an abandoned exoplanet, and the entire game is played through a radar system. maybe i just love maps too much but it’s super cool!!!!
  3. nadia nova- is a creator, not a game. if you don’t mind smut, these are super emotional & beautiful games about control, trans identity, and poetic exploration of weird kinks
  4. ace attorney- is not an indie game, and needs no introduction. but its so silly and one of my favorite games ever! i really recommend it as a visual novel.

other gay games

  1. celeste- i’m sure you’ve heard of this too, it’s a super technical platformer starring and created by a trans woman on a journey with her depression
  2. get in the car, loser!- super silly and stupid turn-based rpg starring 3 lesbians that have to save the world from evil angels lolol

UI-based?

these next 3 are sort of like visual novels with a unique twist. all of them feature a fake computer interface that you navigate to progress the story
  1. hypnospace outlaw- cyberpunkish mystery/ political thriller with lots of episodic quests and hidden stuff to discover
  2. secret little haven- a young trans girl comes to accept herself thanks to a magical girl forum. as a trans girl & lover of magical girls i must say this is one of my favorite games of all time!!
  3. interactive portraits: trans people in japan- read through real interviews from trans people in japan!! except they’re cute little pixel animals!!!!!

furry-esque LOL

  1. atlyss- basic 3d rpg with a few mmo elements, and you can play as unique animal races. it has bust & ass sliders, so that can be a turn off for people lolol
  2. pseudoregalia- 3d low-poly metroid type game starring a goat!!!
  3. webfishing- this is like a big chat server where you can play as a little kitty or doggy and try to catch big fish with your friends or randos online. it’s super cute and customizable!
& i’m sure i don’t have to tell you deltarune is amazing!!!!
